Iran has announced a temporary navigation route in the Hormuz Strait, as per an agreement with Oman. According to the new understanding, commercial ships must pass through Iranian waters when entering the Persian Gulf, and through both Omani and Iranian waters when leaving. Military ships are not permitted to transit the strait.
