
At today's third pre-show forum, SEMI highlighted that Taiwan is now taking up a third of the global semiconductor materials market for the first time, marking a significant shift in industry dynamics. Global Marketing Head and Taiwan Region President Tsai Shih-lun emphasized the growing importance of semiconductor materials as the sector continues to advance with AI, advanced processes, and packaging technologies. According to SEMI, Taiwan is projected to consume $21.7 billion worth of semiconductor materials by 2025, representing nearly 30% of the global market share, a position it has maintained for 16 consecutive years.
