On Tuesday, Iran and Oman discussed a proposal to establish a temporary joint shipping lane in the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to clear mines from this critical oil export passage. According to Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, the discussions were constructive, and he hopes to soon announce the establishment of a shipping lane along with practical arrangements for restoring safe navigation.
