Last night, a heavy oil leak ignited at the 11th Distillation Workshop of the Taichung Petroleum Refinery around 11:00 PM. The fire was promptly addressed by the factory's firefighting team and the Kaohsiung Fire Bureau, with the blaze fully extinguished within 15 minutes. No injuries were reported. In response to the incident, Taichung Petroleum has launched an investigation into the cause of the leak and is assessing any damages. The company has also apologized for any inconvenience caused to nearby residents.
