However, this surge has led to a shortage of a critical semiconductor material that has garnered little attention so far. Electronic-grade dichlorosilane (DCS) prices have notably increased this year, with Chinese 5N-grade products quoted at 1,000 to 1,100 yuan per kilogram, up about 25% from the beginning of the year. Imported 6N-grade DCS has seen a more significant rise, reaching 300 to 320 US dollars per kilogram, with a 28% increase.
